The portable Exhalaron provides CDC minimum 5 air changes per hour (ACH) cleaning coverage for small bedrooms and offices, dorms, exam rooms, tents, cabins, and vehicles.

Our favorite way to use this nearly silent, incognito purifier is on a nightstand or meeting table within a meter of mouths to suck up most pathogens before they spread into the whole room! With such quiet, direct source control, Exhalaron punches way above its small room purifier weight class!

Placement is key! Whenever you can place Exhalaron nearby or in between you and other people, it can reduce risk as much as one of our larger units elsewhere in the room.

Exhalaron Ultra Cherry boasts the quietest, strongest 2400 rpm pressure fans we could find: 2 CoolerMaster Mobius for amazing 92 cfm infectious aerosol CADR @ 34 dB sound pressure. Ultra includes a convenient speed control knob on top to dial in a cleaning breeze not too chill! Exhalaron Ultra carries FCC & UL507 electrical safety certification for US and Canada, and is CARB certified to not emit ozone.

The animation below demonstrates how our hand-crafted Exhalaron's strong fans capture or redirect most exhalations (now do you see what inspired its name?) upward, protecting the people talking across the table.

Plug it in if your table is near an outlet. Our favorite way to power it is with a USB-C power bank tucked inside the crossed bungees on the outside. The Ultra Exhalaron can run for up to 16 hours this way, and you can even power your smartphone while the Exhalaron is running. Watch the Power Bank Installation Guide to see how the power bank fits and connects. Compatible power-bank options are also listed later on this page.

Concerned about medical visits or public transportation without two-way masking? Let Exhalaron be your second layer of protection to substantially lower virus, allergens and pollutants in the vicinity wherever you go!

Exhalaron means unprecedented power, silence & versatility for a personal purifier!

Inspired by Cross-Table Exhalation Study

Why double-barrel? U of Colorado, Donghua & Marriot experiments demonstrated that a 98 CADR cfm purifier on a 4-person table will directly capture about 3/4 of exhalations before they cross the table, reducing virus deposited on occupants up to 95%.

We couldn't find any compact HEPAs quite in this CADR range. CleanAirKits created the double-barrel Exhalaron to silently tackle this scenario.

Compatible Power Banks

Exhalaron comes with a 16W USBC wall charger (like an iPhone charging brick) and a male USBC to 12V DC barrel adapter stub that can also plug into select battery packs. We don't sell USBC Lithium battery packs, but have tested all of these and can vouch for them. Battery packs should be USBC PD 20W QC 3.0 rated with male USBC pigtail and < 5.9" tall to fit between filter plates, like these:

VRURC T2046 20000mAh - 16 hours

Charmast C2046S 20000 mAh - 16 hours

Belkin BoostCharge Pro 20000 mAh - 16 hours

Anker GaNPrime 733 Power Bank 10000 mAh - 8 hours, needs male-male USBC

Easy Filter Changes

Two cylindrical filters provide a large filtration surface while keeping the purifier compact. Changing them is simple: unhook the retaining bungees, replace the filters, and reattach.

Replacement filters and additional mesh shrouds are available separately.

Alternative Filter Option

PUREBURG H13 HEPA replacement filters are also compatible but provide slightly less CADR.

Washable black speaker mesh attractively shrouds the filters without impeding airflow. Four bungees firmly seal the filters against the fan plates -- just unhook them to change the filters.

Wipeable mesh is a good option for people with pets or for use in a healthcare setting. Otherwise, the cloth mesh, which is washable, is usually sufficient.

Exhalaron hardboard panels do not contain lead, Formaldehyde, or PFAS. However, like cooking, laser cutting can generate trace carcinogens hence:
